Cantata has finally opened up again after 18 months, but we weren’t completely silent during that time. Like many groups, we took to the internet and lived our lives on Zoom, holding singing sessions with our choir members, play along sessions with our orchestra and even held some music theory sessions for anyone who wanted to stretch their brains a bit more.

Now we’re back to rehearsals and are adapting to the new norm: more windows open to keep the air flowing more freely and distancing our singers and instrumentalists for extra safety. We’re not holding any Christmas concerts this year; we’re just glad to be back and getting used to singing and playing again after such a long time. Hopefully next year, we’ll be looking to staging some summer concerts again, so keep popping back from time to time to see what’s going on.
