CounterPoynt
Launched in May 2009, this choir started life as Poynton Community Singers, but with the absence of any men joining the ranks, the choir decided to become a female only group and changed its name to CounterPoynt. This choir of around forty voices with a wide repertoire, and anything goes from madrigals to show-stopping numbers with most genres in between.
We meet at:
St Martin’s Church Hall, Shrigley Road North, Higher Poynton, SK121TE between 7.30pm and 9.00pm on Monday evenings.
Fees:
Fees are currently £5 a session paid in half-termly blocks although new members can pay weekly for their first half term whilst they decide whether to join us full-time or not.
